Groningen 2-0 Excelsior: Mimoun Mahi scores both goals in win

Mimoun Mahi scored a couple of late goals as Groningen beat Excelsior 2-0 to claim their first win of the Eredivisie season.

Mahi opened the scoring with a 71st-minute free-kick then secured victory four minutes from time when he fired home from a tight angle.

The win lifts Groningen up to eighth place in the table after three games and leaves the visitors still searching for their opening win.
