Group debutants looking for first win
AZ Alkmaar and Standard Liege will be looking to get their UEFA Champions League group campaigns up and running at the DSB-Stadium.
Both teams are playing in the group phase for the first time and started the stage with narrow defeats by Olympiakos and Arsenal respectively.
A Vassilis Torosidis goal condemned AZ to a 1-0 defeat in Greece, while Liege raced into a two-goal lead at home to Arsenal before losing 3-2 a fortnight ago.
Dutch champions AZ have endured a miserable September, with Ronald Koeman's side also losing all three Eredivisie games and requiring extra-time to beat Jong Ajax in the cup.
But AZ do boast a proud record at home in European competition with their only defeat in 33 games coming in 2007 against Everton, who were knocked out of last season's Uefa Cup by Liege.
Koeman has no new injury problems for the tie and will be hoping to kick-start his team's season with a victory over their Belgian counterparts.
Defour out
Liege coach Laszlo Boloni admits his team self-destructed in the first game against Arsenal after Eliaquim Mangala and Milan Jovanovic had scored inside the opening five minutes.
"We started very well, but were not strong enough mentally to continue the same way in the second half," he said.
"We sat back in midfield, so all the pressure was too much for us."
Liege are making their debut in the Champions League group stage after missing out last season when they were beaten by Liverpool in their third-round qualifier.
Before the Arsenal fixture they were unbeaten in 15 games at home in all competitions, but have been hit by the loss of captain Steven Defour to a broken foot for at least three months.
The visitors are also without Victor Ramos due to a hamstring injury and Cedric Collet due to a foot problem, while Dieudonne Mbokani is doubtful with a knee complaint.
