AZ striker yet to receive any firm offers

Reported Premier League target Brett Holman has reiterated his desire to leave AZ Alkmaar for a foreign adventure but says he is yet to receive any concrete interest. Australia international Holman is out of contract at AZ in the summer and has been linked with moves to Aston Villa, Fulham and Blackburn. The 27-year-old striker has previously rejected the offer of a new deal from Eredivisie leaders Alkmaar and is ready for a fresh challenge. But Holman says he is yet to receive any official approaches from abroad. "Right now the clubs being mentioned as being interested are just rumour and speculation," he told The World Game. "There's been plenty of talk in the media about where I might go but nothing official has come my way."

Challenge

He added: "I'm looking for a fresh challenge. I'd like to get things sorted as soon as possible and not have to wait around until the summer to resolve my future. "After January I can sign a pre-contract if somebody comes in and that's positive proof that a club wants you. "I am keen to see how I go elsewhere and now that I am close to a free transfer hopefully someone will come in where it suits me and my family. That would be a really interesting challenge for me." Holman is looking forward to AZ resuming their title challenge, as well as their European and cup tilts, after a month-long winter break. The Socceroo added: "In the meantime, the club is in a great position and I have the chance to go out on a high here. "We are still in the Europa League, the Dutch Cup and also top of the league, so hopefully we can press on and repeat in the second half of the season what we accomplished before Christmas."
