Eredivisie round-up: Ajax win at PSV to go top

Ajax won 2-0 at PSV Eindhoven to climb above their rivals to the top of the Eredivsie table on Sunday.

Just a single point separated the two sides at the start of play, and Arkadiusz Milik opened the scoring after less than two minutes in Eindhoven, stunning the home crowd into silence.

Milik netted his 16th goal of the season after heading home from Joel Veltman's ball in.

Nemanja Gudelj then went close to doubling their lead in the second half, before Anwar El Ghazi sealed the win in the last 15 minutes that sent Ajax two points clear.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Chelsea loanee Dominic Solanke scored twice as Vitesse won 3-0 at Groningen to climb to seventh.

The England Under-21 international opened the scoring 17 minutes from time, and netting again late on after Valeri Kazaishvili had doubled their lead.

FC Twente nicked a late 2-2 draw at home to AZ Alkmaar in an entertaining clash that saw both sides finish with 10 men.

Vincent Janssen opened the score for Alkmaar in the 51st minute, before Zakaria El Azzouzi saw red for the home side on the hour.

But Alkmaar were soon down to 10 themselves when Stijn Wuytens was dismissed for a second bookable offence, and they were punished by Stefan Theskersoon afterwards.

Thom Haye then struck 13 minutes from time for the away side, and Alkmaar thought they'd be leaving with the three points until Thesker struck again in the 90th minute to level the game. 

Dion Malone struck the only goal of the game in the 89th minute as ADO Den Haag beat NEC Nijmegen 1-0.
