PSV Eindhoven are hoping to keep midfielder Marco van Ginkel at the Philips Stadion for at least one more season, according to Sky sources.
The 24-year-old was due to return to Chelsea this summer but PSV are ready to open talks over extending his loan into a third season.
The Netherlands international scored seven goals from 15 appearances for the Eredivisie side last campaign, one goal fewer than during his first spell with the club.
Van Ginkel is yet to receive his breakthrough at Chelsea since signing in 2013 from Dutch outfit Vitesse.
Having featured in the Blues' senior setup just twice since arriving at Stamford Bridge, the Dutchman has spent the past four seasons on loan.
He linked up with Serie A outfit Milan for the 2014/15 campaign and a spell at Stoke followed before joining PSV on loan.
