Young Nigerian agrees deal in Eindhoven

Attacking midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim has agreed a three-year deal at PSV after impressing while on trial in Eindhoven. The young Nigerian, who turned 20 on Tuesday, was out of contract having departed boyhood club Sporting Lisbon last summer. Ibrahim, who has previously been linked with a host of top European clubs including Manchester United and AC Milan, spent time on trial at Dutch second-tier side Telstar earlier this year. However, the club could not complete a deal with the midfielder due to financial issues, leaving the door open for PSV to swoop.

Trial

The Eredivisie giants invited him for a trial and have now snapped him up until the summer of 2014. Technical manager Marcel Brands told PSV's official website: "PSV have come to a principle agreement. "Due to the deadline, the club signed him and all the formalities with the KNVB (Dutch Football Association) have been put into motion. "We now have to wait until he is eligible to play. If that is completed, we will proceed to securing his signature."
