Striker delighted with switch
Dutch champions FC Twente have signed Austrian striker Marc Janko from Red Bull Salzburg.
Janko was a long-term target for a number of English clubs, but Twente have managed to persuade him to make the move to Holland.
The giant forward hopes to fill the void left by Blaise Nkufo's departure to Major League Soccer outfit the Seattle Sounders.
Janko has signed a four-year deal at Twente and he is relishing the chance to play in next season's Champions League under new boss Michel Preud'homme.
"FC Twente worked very hard to get me here and they have made me feel very welcome," said Janko.
"I was aware that Twente were the Dutch champions and it is a great opportunity for me to play in the Champions League.
"I believe Twente is a team with a lot of potential and I hope we can surprise a few in the Champions League."
