Dutch starlet earns first contract in Enschede
Teenage midfielder Jurjan Mannes has earned a permanent contract with FC Twente after coming through the club's youth ranks.
The 19-year-old has featured in Twente's youth set-up since arriving at the Enschede club in 2002.
The Eredivisie giants have now offered him his first senior deal after Mannes stood out as a key performer in the club's academy side.
"It's a nice reward for the work I've done the past eight years in the youth academy at FC Twente," Mannes told the club's
official website.
"It is now a case of taking steps to work towards first-team selection."
He added: "My personal goal is to climb to a higher level.
"There is still much work to do, but I have faith. I am very pleased with the philosophy that FC Twente have."
