FC Utrecht defender Mihai Nesu has begun his rehabilitation after suffering a serious injury in training. The 28-year-old Romania international sustained a fractured cervical vertebra after an unfortunate collision last month and was left without any feeling in his body from the neck down. Left-back Nesu has recently transferred from hospital to a rehabilitation centre, and club doctor Frank Hellemondt says he has shown signs of improvement. "Since last week, he can move his right arm slightly and he has recovered some feeling in his foot," Hellemondt told Utrecht's official website. "The people in the rehabilitation centre, of course, do everything they can for Mihai, but we'll have to see in the coming months what developments take place."
