NEC Nijmegen forward Rutger Worm has explained his decision to agree a move to Australian side Melbourne Heart.
The 24-year-old will be playing Down Under from the start of the 2010/11 season after accepting an offer of a multi-year contract.
Worm is looking forward to the prospect of joining the A-League newcomers following six years with Eredivisie outfit NEC.
"It looks like a fantastic experience to me," he told
De Gelderlander. "I wanted something different.
"Australia is a great country and a sporting country as well. It really attracts me. I am looking forward to playing there."
Melbourne's Dutch coach John van't Schip told his club's
official website: "I am extremely happy to be able to bring Rutger to Melbourne and the A-League.
"He is a fantastic player who has shown a lot of ability during his time with NEC in the Eredivisie in Holland."
