Ajax closed the gap back to one point on Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven with a 4-1 win at home to AZ Alkmaar on Sunday.
Arkadiusz Milik and a Davy Klaasen double put Ajax in control after 53 minutes, before they saw Anwar El-Ghazi sent off and Vincent Janssen pulled one back in the 65th minute.
But Milik struck again in the 90th minute to seal the result.
Elsewhere, Rydell Poepon hit a double as Roda JC Kerkrade won 5-0 at Heracles. Georgiy Zhukov, Mike van Duinen and Maecky Ngombo also made it onto the scoresheet for the away side.
Dirk Kuyt scored the winner as Feyenoord came from behind to win 2-1 at Utrecht.
Sebastien Haller put the home side ahead after four minutes, but Tonny Vilhena then Kuyt struck back for for Feyenoord before the break.
And Morten Thorsby struck the only goal of the game after 66 minutes as Heerenveen won 1-0 at De Graafschap.
