Grimsby A-A Derby: Match abandoned at Blundell Park due to waterlogged pitch

Grimsby's Carabao Cup clash with Derby at Blundell Park was abandoned after just 19 minutes due to adverse weather conditions.

The Sky Bet Championship side were leading 1-0 following defender Richard Keogh's fifth-minute header from a Jacob Butterfield corner.

But, after temporarily halting the match due to a waterlogged pitch caused by the torrential rain, referee Trevor Kettle spoke to stewards and the management staff of both teams before calling the tie off.
