Partizan Belgrade have been given a partial stadium closure after their fans breached UEFA's rules on racism during last month's Europa League game against Tottenham.

Spurs complained about a banner displayed by some home supporters which manager Mauricio Pochettino called "very disrespectful and unacceptable".

Partizan supporters were also investigated for three other offences - setting off fireworks, invading the pitch and pointing a laser pen.

And UEFA has ordered the closure of Sector K of the club's stadium for their home game against Besiktas this month.

Partizan have also been fined 40,000 euros, and a UEFA statement read: "The fight against racism is a high priority for UEFA. The European governing body has a zero-tolerance policy towards racism and discrimination on the field and in the stands.

"All forms of racist behaviour are considered serious offences against the disciplinary regulations and are punished with the most severe sanctions.

"Following the entry into force of new disciplinary regulations in June 2013, the fight against racist conduct has been stepped up a level – resulting in stricter penalties to deter any such behaviour."
