The contenders for the PFA Fans' Player of the Month awards for February have been announced. Voting is well under way across all four divisions and you can make sure you give your backing to your favourite by clicking here.
Premier League
Hot-shots Didier Drogba and Wayne Rooney are going head-to-head for the Premier League golden boot and they are also locked in battle for the PFA Fans' Player of the Month award for February. Chelsea striker Drogba hit a brace against Wolves at the weekend, taking his tally for the season in the league to 19. Rooney also notched a double against West Ham on Tuesday and previous performances, notably in the UEFA Champions League clash with AC Milan, make him a serious contender for our monthly fans' award. Fellow striker Jermain Defoe is also in the hunt, as are midfielders Cesc Fabregas, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Michael Ballack. Click here for the full article
Championship
In the Championship, Chris Cohen has emerged as a leading contender for this month's award as he has continued to inspire Nottingham Forest's push for promotion. Cohen scored the only goal of the game in the win against Middlesbrough on Saturday to extend Forest's winning home run to nine games. Newcastle continue to set the pace at the top of the Championship, and it's no surprise that in-form forward Andy Carroll has been polling plenty of votes this month. West Brom pair Graham Dorrans and Roman Bednar are also among the contenders in the Championship, although a late surge of votes for any player in the second tier could swing the award decisively in another direction. League One
A player who is looking to retain his award is Rickie Lambert, whose 20 league goals have seen Southampton steadily climb League One after their points deduction. Leeds pair Luciano Becchio, who netted a brace in the crucial win against Oldham on Tuesday, and Casper Ankergren also find themselves in the current top-five list. League leaders Norwich are playing an attractive brand of football in the third tier at the moment, and their striker Chris Martin is also a deserving contender, as is Scott McGleish from Leyton Orient. League Two
Finally, in League Two, Kasper Schmeichel - last month's winner - is still a popular figure along with Notts County team-mate Lee Hughes. The County duo can expect plenty of competition from the likes of Terry Dunfield (Shrewsbury Town), Chris O'Grady (Rochdale) and Ryan Lowe (Bury). Another lower league performance of note has come from Tadhg Purcell at bottom side Darlington, and perhaps he could lift some of the gloom for the Quakers.
