England Women will travel to Germany in November to play the European champions in an international friendly.

Mark Sampson's side will take on the two-time world champions at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg on Thursday November 26.

It will be the first time the two teams have faced each other since the FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada in the summer when England beat Germany 1-0, courtesy of a Fara Williams penalty, to secure third place at the tournament.

The Lionesses will then travel back to England, where they will face Bosnia-Herzegovina at Bristol City's Ashton Gate stadium three days later. The UEFA Women's EURO 2017 qualifier will be England's first home game since the World Cup.

England boss Sampson said: "Testing ourselves against the best teams in the world on a regular basis is a vital element in the continuing development of this England team.

"Any match against a top-tier nation is a tough, tough match but we have consistently learnt crucial lessons after our experiences against the likes of USA, France and Germany.

"The Germany match will be a wonderful occasion but most importantly an opportunity to test ourselves against a world-class team and learn those key lessons to help improve the group."

England's next match is away in Tallinn where they kick off their EURO 2017 qualifying campaign against Estonia on Monday September 21.
