Sky Bet's Ancestry investigation sees them get to the bottom of suggestions that Sir Geoff Hurst may be German.
The England legend, who scored a hat-trick against Germany in the 1966 World Cup final, had previously revealed that he has a German name in his family tree.
However, Sky Bet, as part of their World Cup Go Global campaign, have teamed up with family history experts Ancestry to examine the 76-year-old's family tree and DNA to find out what his heritage really looks like.
Hurst said: "Many, many years ago, I heard of this story from my grandparents on my mother's side that there was some connection with a German name, a German family called Blick.
"I first recall learning about that when I was really young, and that name Blick has stuck in my mind, so I'm fascinated to see any research that can justify my thoughts."
