Owls supremo insists Harry is the best man for job

Sheffield Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric believes Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is the best candidate to manage England. The Three Lions need a new man at the helm months before this summer's European Championship following Fabio Capello's resignation. Redknapp is the bookies' early favourite to replace the Italian, although the White Hart Lane tactician is currently focusing his efforts on his club. Mandaric knows Redknapp well from their time together at Portsmouth and his time in English football and believes there is no better man for the job than Spurs' manager.

Better man

"With all honesty, as a chairman of and a football man I don't think there is a better man than Harry Redknapp to take over the England national team," he told Sky Sports News. "I probably shouldn't say that because again it's not my job to talk about managers who are happy with their job. "Like everyone else we can talk about this, rightly so because I want England to be successful because I've been a big part of the last 12 years of English football "Who you want? You've had your chances. Who's going to be the best one? There's no better man than Harry Redknapp."
