Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne says he is relishing the opportunity to play for England against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks after an impressive season in which he made his international breakthrough, picking up four caps since making his England debut against Slovenia last November.
England travel to Dublin for a friendly on Sunday before heading to Slovenia for a European Qualifier in Ljubljana seven days later, and Clyne is looking for a chance to cement his place in manager Roy Hodgson's plans.
"This is a good opportunity for me to go away and get more international experience," he said.
"It's always an honour to be called up to play for your country so I am happy and looking forward to the two games coming up."
Clyne made 41 appearances for Southampton last season but is happy to carry on playing into the summer.
"The beach can wait for now," he said. "I relish the opportunity of these games and look forward to it.
"With the whole nation on your side willing you and wanting you to do well, it is extra pressure, but I know I can deal with it."
Clyne is particularly looking forward to the weekend’s claish with Ireland, the return fixture from the 1-1 draw in 2013 as part of the FA’s 150th anniversary celebrations, saying: "It really gets you going when the crowds are really up for it."
