Celtic midfielder Scott Brown is delighted Gordon Strachan will remain in charge of the Scotland team for the next two years.

Strachan was given a new deal by the Scottish Football Association despite the team missing out on the Euro 2016 finals in France.

While Brown is clearly disappointed not to be taking part in next summer's showpiece, he has been impressed with Strachan's work on several levels in trying to restructure Scottish football.

It is brilliant for the nation to keep him on for another two years.

"It is brilliant for the nation to keep him on for another two years," the Scotland captain said at the launch of the team's new home and away kit.

"And what he's doing from grassroots football all the way through to the first team, he's making it enjoyable, getting kids playing football again that maybe didn't enjoy it.
