Wales manager Chris Coleman says his players won't fear Zlatan Ibrahimovic, despite describing the forward as a "monster of a man".

Wales face Ibrahimovic's Sweden in Stockholm on Sunday in what is their final warm-up match for the upcoming European Championship in France.

And although Coleman was quick to recognise the talents of the Swedish captain, he believes his players will relish the opportunity to take on the 6ft 5in striker, rather than fear it.

"I don't think any of my players have played against Zlatan," Coleman said.

"Ben Davies, Ashley Williams, James Chester and Neil Taylor are Premier League players and are playing against top strikers every week.

"But there is only one Zlatan and he is one of a kind on the planet in terms of how he plays.

"He is a monster of a man. He is mobile, scores goals anywhere and any way. It will be a new test for them, but it is not something they will be fearful of.

"They will look forward to the test and it will be a challenge. We need to make sure we are ready for it."

Wales' own superstar forward, Gareth Bale, is set to make his first international appearance since his side's qualifying victory over Andorra last October.

The world's most expensive player has not featured in any of his country's friendly matches in the run-up to this summer's tournament.

The former Tottenham forward had been rested by Coleman in the wake of Real Madrid's extra-time victory over cross-city rivals Atletico in the Champions League last month.

But the Wales boss now hopes Bale has sufficiently recovered in order to play some part against Sweden this weekend.

"It was 120 minutes for Gareth last week and it is also what happened 48 hours later," said Coleman.

"Gareth doesn't drink alcohol, but it's the travel and celebrating. So we will look at that. But if there is a chance that we can give him some minutes, then yes we will.

"It is important for him to be not only on the training pitch, but the real thing before we kick off."

Wales face Slovakia in their opening game at the Euros on June 11 before playing England and Russia in their remaining Group B fixtures.
