FFF supremo has no plans to vacate post

French Football Federation president Fernand Duchaussoy claims he knew nothing about a controversial quota meeting. It has been reported in France that national team manager Laurent Blanc and several other coaches recently met to discuss restrictions on black and Arab players in training programs. Details of the meeting were released by investigative website Mediapart last week, following the revelation that Mohamed Belkacemi, a distract football adviser within the FFF's technical committee, had recorded the meeting and made the authorities aware of what was said. Duchaussoy, though, claims that he was unaware of the events until the news was broken to the public. "At no time was I informed," he said. Pressure has mounted on his shoulders to step down following the revelations, but Duchaussoy insists he has done nothing wrong. He added: "I am terribly disappointed, but I won't resign. There is no reason for me to feel weak, on the contrary. I won't give up and I will fight on." Belkacemi has also commented on the part he has played in proceedings, denying that he leaked his secret tapes to the media before informing the FFF of what was said. "I explained everything to the inquiry," he said. "I recorded the meeting on 8th November 2010 to testify internally about unacceptable things that I had already heard before. "I sent the only copy of the recording to the federation on 9th November 2010 to confirm my words."
