Florent Malouda’s return to Indian Super League (ISL) side Delhi Dynamos is expected to be confirmed ahead of West Brom’s Super Sunday clash with Middlesbrough, Sky sources understand.

Malouda was a standout performer for Delhi last season, contributing eight assists and helping them reach the semi-finals in a side which included Brazilian great Roberto Carlos and former Liverpool full-back John Arne Riise.

Delhi have just begun a pre-season tour to England and Sweden and will play Kidderminster Harriers in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Wednesday, before taking on a West Brom XI in a charity match at The Hawthorns on September 3.

The squad - managed by World Cup winner Gianluca Zambrotta - will attend West Brom's game with Middlesbrough where they are set to unveil their squad for the forthcoming ISL season.

Ex-France international Malouda is best remembered for his time at Chelsea where he won every domestic trophy and helped the Blues win the Champions League for the first time in their history in 2012.
