Manchester City Women’s goalkeeper Karen Bardsley has withdrawn from the England squad to play Norway and Sweden later this month with a thigh injury.

Birmingham City Ladies stopper Sophie Baggaley has been called up as her replacement.

England travel to Spain on Tuesday where they will play Norway at La Manga on 22 January and Sweden at Murcia’s Pinatar Arena two days later.

The matches form part of England's preparation for this summer’s UEFA Women’s European Championships, which will be staged in the Netherlands.
