Hull City are set to sign striker Frazier Campbell, subject to a medical, according to Sky sources.

The 29-year old was released by Crystal Palace at the end of last season after making 43 Premier League appearances, scoring five goals, during a near three-year spell.

Campbell began his career at Manchester United in 2006 before moving on loan to Hull City during the 2007-08 campaign, playing a key part in their promotion to the Premier League.

The Tigers bid a club-record £7m to sign the striker permanently in 2008 but Campbell instead opted to join Tottenham on a season-long loan.

The forward has since spent time at Sunderland and Cardiff City, respectively.

Hull City were relegated from the Premier League last season following a disappointing campaign which saw the departure of manager Marco Silva to Watford in May.
