Bristol Rovers striker Jonson Clarke-Harris says he looks up to Bournemouth's Callum Wilson and the way he recovered from ACL injuries.
Clarke-Harris suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in 2016 and says his former Coventry team-mate Wilson's success in recovery was an inspiration to him.
He scored eight goals in March this season to help his team stay in Sky Bet League One, winning the Player of the Month award in doing so.
Wilson suffered two ACL injuries within the space of 16 months at Bournemouth but recovered from both to eventually make his England debut last year.
"After the ACL injuries he's had just look at him now," Clarke-Harris said.
"Even when I was a youth player I used to look up to Callum. He's one of the top strikers in the Premier League and a role model I will always look up to."
This season was Clake-Harris' most prolific with 17 goals after a January move from Coventry to Bristol Rovers and the 24-year-old has his sights set on the Championship.
"You try and play as high as you can for as long as you can," said Clarke-Harris.
"I do feel like I'm good enough for the Championship but I probably have unfinished business in League One."
