Transfer news: Burton Albion boss Gary Rowett keen on Wolves winger Zeli Ismail

Burton Albion boss Gary Rowett has admitted that Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Zeli Ismail figures prominently on his transfer wish list.
The 20-year-old caught the eye while on loan at the League Two outfit in 2013/14, and a possible return is being mooted.
Ismail remains some way down the pecking order at Molineux, with the likes of James Henry, Michael Jacobs, Bakary Sako and new arrival Rajiv van la Parra providing competition on the flanks.
It could be that the door is opened for him to make another loan switch this summer, and Rowett intends to be at the front of the queue if that is the case.
He told the Burton Mail on a player who netted three goals in 17 appearances last season: “We’ve made it clear we’re interested.
“We spoke to Wolves at the end of the season as Zeli had done really well for us and really enjoyed his time here. They’re aware we’ve been good for each other.
“They’ll always want to get him back and see how he’s improved and if they want to send him out again.
“He’s certainly a player we’d love to have back, but I’m sure after some of his performances for us, we won’t be the only club interested.
“He’s a player with huge potential and I’m sure Wolves will want to see if that potential has been realised yet.”
Rowett added: “Three to four weeks into pre-season players start to think maybe they’re not going to get as many games and look at other options.
“I don’t think there’ll be many loan deals done before pre-season.”
