Two of Sky Sports Fantasy Football's highest scoring players go head-to-head on Super Sunday, while there's better value options available for more favourable fixtures.

Let's have a look at whether either of them are worth signing up this weekend and some cheaper options to help you balance the books.

Alexis Sanchez - £9.5m

Sky Sports Fantasy Football bosses face a selection headache as to whether they should jump on the Sanchez bandwagon this weekend. The Chile star overtook Eden Hazard (£8.9m) as the game’s leading scorer last weekend as he took his tally to 143, with 20 points thanks to two goals, an assist and the Sky Sports man-of-the-match in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Stoke. That haul means he has now been involved in 19 goals this season, more than any other player in the Premier League. However, the Gunners face a tough trip to the Etihad Stadium on Super Sunday, with the number crunchers at Sky Bet making him 2/1 to add to his 12 league goals.

Sergio Aguero – £9.8m

The Argentina star will be warmly welcomed back by Manuel Pellegrini for two key clashes but is the timing right for you to sign him up? He was scoring for fun before suffering a knee injury against Everton, with 14 goals from 15 appearances. Indeed, only Sanchez has been involved in more Premier League goals, despite Aguero missing the busy festive period. However, City host Arsenal and then travel to Chelsea in their next games and, with the injury-prone 26-year-old surely needing time to regain full fitness, it might be worth waiting until the end of the month to bring him back on board.

Ryan Bertrand - £5.1m

Southampton’s defence has undoubtedly been key to their unlikely Champions League charge, with back-to-back clean sheets in wins over Arsenal and Manchester United taking their tally to 10 for the season. With their supposedly unfavourable fixtures out the way, it’s now not just fashionable to sign up their backline. Bertrand is the pick of the bunch, not just because he’s the Saints’ cheapest defensive option but because he’s also the best one. The 25-year-old has contributed at both ends, setting up two goals and scoring another couple to see him rack up 92 points, only second to John Terry (94). However, it remains to be seen how the absence of injured duo Victor Wanyama and Morgan Schneiderlin will impact the Saints’ defensive prowess.

Harry Kane - £6.7m

Spurs’ rising star is saving me a lot of time with picking out the form players as he continues to deliver week-in-week-out. The 21-year-old has now scored six goals in his last six Premier League games, proving he can cut it against the top sides after initially impressing in the cup competitions. Securing his services continues to look a no brainer as Spurs face another favourable fixture at strugglers Sunderland this weekend, although things look a lot more tricky in February. He’s actually the shortest-priced player to score this weekend according to Sky Bet, who make him just 8/11 to net at White Hart Lane.

Andre Wisdom - £5.2m

Wisdom may be the man I’m picking out but the most important factor is Tony Pulis. The recently appointed Baggies boss rescued Crystal Palace from near-certain relegation last season on the basis of a remarkable defensive record, with the Eagles conceding just 27 goals in 27 games after appointing the former Stoke manager. West Brom already possess a fairly solid backline, conceding the joint 10th least goals in the league, with Wisdom helping them keep seven clean sheets to rack up 54 points. Pulis begun is spell in charge with a typically stringent 1-0 win over Hull and it wouldn’t be a major surprise to see them keep another clean sheet when they visit out-of-sorts Everton on Monday Night Football.
