Didier Drogba scored two goals in quick succession to give Montreal a 2-1 win over Toronto in the MLS.

New York Red Bulls won their second MLS Supporters Shield in three seasons after beating Chicago Fire 2-1.

It means the Red Bulls go into the play-offs as Major League Soccer's regular-season champions.

Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his 17th goal of the season to open the scoring with just eight minutes on the clock before Sacha Kljestan slotted home a penalty after Patrick Nyarko's mistimed challenge on Mike Grella.

Gilberto scored for Chicago with 15 minutes left to set up a nervous finale for the Red Bulls but they held on to win the shield.

Two goals in 94 seconds from Didier Drogba helped Montreal Impact beat Toronto 2-1, which means the two sides will meet again in the playoffs this week with Montreal again at home.

Drogba has now scored 11 goals in 11 games since signing for the Impact in the summer.
