Highlights from the MLS game between Portland Timbers and LA Galaxy

Goals from Robbie Keane and Gyasi Zardes secured a 2-1 victory for LA Galaxy over Portland Timbers at Providence Park on Saturday.

Keane opened the scoring after just seven minutes when he tapped in from close range at the back post, and Galaxy doubled their lead through Zardes' header four minutes later.

Portland were handed a route back into the match when Zarek Valentin fired home shortly before half-time, but despite controlling the second half, could not find an equaliser.

The result keeps the Galaxy in third place in the Western Conference, five points off top-of-the-table FC Dallas with two games in hand.
