MLS: Jozy Altidore sends Toronto FC top, LA Galaxy grab point at Chicago

Jozy Altidore's late goal earned Toronto FC a 2-1 win over Orlando City on Wednesday and moved them top of the Eastern Conference of the MLS.

The Canadian team looked like being held to a draw after Orlando's Cyle Larin cancelled out Tosaint Rickett's early opener, only for to Altidore to strike in the 88th minute.

Philadelphia Union consolidated their play-off prospects with a 2-1 win over Columbus Crew.

After taking the lead in the 60th minute through Fabian Herbers, they were pegged back by Adam Jahn's 73rd-minute leveller. However, just 60 seconds later they were back in front with Keegan Rosenberry struck.

Former Tottenham midfielder Giovani dos Santos rescued a point for LA Galaxy in a 2-2 draw with Chicago Fire.

Gyasi Zardes gave Galaxy the lead, only for Arturo Alvarez and David Accam to reply for the hosts before half-time. Dos Santos netted in the 69th minute as the game finished all square.

Hassoun Camera's 77th-minute goal gave Montreal Impact a 1-1 draw with DC United.
