New York City claimed a 1-0 win over Sporting Kansas in the MLS despite a staggering miss from Sean Okoli

Sean Okoli had teammate Jack Harrison to thank as New York City beat Sporting Kansas 1-0 in the MLS on Wednesday night.

Okoli missed a golden opportunity to give his side the lead with the scores goalless, when Maxi Moralez's cross found him at the back post.

The 24-year-old somehow failed to find the target and it looked like New York might live to regret the miss until Harrison's winner in the 84th minute.
