Thierry Henry and Bradley Wright-Phillips both scored twice in the second-half as the New York Red Bulls secured a 4-2 victory over Montreal Impact in New Jersey.
Montreal took the lead in the Major League Soccer clash when Dilly Duka went on a long run and then forced a shot between goalkeeper Luis Robles and the near post.
However, Henry equalised with a diving header in the 53rd minute and then curled a shot around Evan Bush in the 67th minute to give the hosts the lead.
Henry then turned provider seven minutes later, setting up Wright-Phillips for his first goal, before Andres Romero pulled one back, shooting home from the edge of the box.
But Wright-Phillips had the final say, scoring with an angled shot in stoppage-time to secure the victory.
Robbie Keane had a pair of assists as the Los Angeles Galaxy beat Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0.
Keane set up Landon Donovan for a fourth-minute opener and then created the second for Marcelo Sarvas just after the half-hour.
In other action, the New England Revolution beat Chivas USA 1-0 thanks to a long-range effort from leading scorer Lee Nguyen in the 56th minute.
In Columbus, Ohio, Justin Meram scored one goal and set up another as the Columbus Crew defeated the Houston Dynamo 3-0.
