Two South American officials are facing lifetime bans after FIFA’s Ethics Committee concluded their investigations.

The FIFA Ethics Committee requested life bans from all football-related activity for Luis Bedoya of Colombia and Sergio Jadue of Chile.

Bedoya and Jadue - both former CONMEBOL vice presidents - had already pleaded guilty in an American investigation into corruption in world football.

In December, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that Bedoya and Jadue had waived indictment and pleaded guilty to racketeering and wire-fraud conspiracies, and forfeited cash in Swiss and American bank accounts.

The U.S. Department of Justice further revealed that Bedoya and Jadue took "annual six-figure bribe payments" linked to tournament broadcasting rights.

Bedoya was a member of the FIFA executive committee until resigning in November.
