Forward urges team to be courageous against Germany

Serbia striker Milan Jovanovic admits his team are approaching their game against Germany with a different mindset. Serbia went down 1-0 to Ghana in their opening Group D clash and now face an uphill struggle if they are going to qualify for the knockout rounds. Germany, meanwhile, thrashed Australia 4-0 on Sunday and looked organised and well drilled, with a potent attacking force. Serbia will have to up their game when they take on Joachim Low's men on Friday, and Jovanovic believes the Ghana loss has changed the atmosphere. "Defeat has influenced our mood," said the 29-year-old Standard Liege forward. "We had expected to win the match against Ghana and we are all hurt by that failure. "We missed out on our aim against an inferior rival and now we are in a position where we have to get as many points as possible against better teams than us." He added: "Germany were very impressive against Australia. "They have made the biggest impact at the World Cup so far. "They are like a machine, they have seven players going forward. "If we want to upset them we will have to show no fear and play the best we can because we face a better team."
