Paraguay boss felt his side deserved better against Spain

Gerardo Martino felt Paraguay were unfortunate not to beat Spain in their World Cup quarter-final clash on Saturday. The Paraguayans were impressive against the European champions but were ultimately undone by a late strike from David Villa. Martino's men were presented with a golden opportunity to take the lead in the second half but Oscar Cardozo saw his penalty saved by Iker Casillas. "We gave our all, we had opportunities but unfortunately Spain scored and Paraguay didn't. We didn't have luck with us," said Martino. "It was a game where we showed we could have come out winners. Now we have to resign ourselves to this tough blow."
