Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley will miss Wales' opening World Cup qualifiers with Belgium and Serbia through injury.
The 25-year-old picked up a groin problem last week and joins Sunderland's David Vaughan and Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey on the sidelines.
But West Ham defender James Collins is in line to make a first international appearance in 18 months despite nursing a groin injury of his own.
And there is a place for uncapped Crystal Palace midfielder Jonathan Williams as well as Leicester's Andy King, who returns to the squad.
The most important thing for manager Chris Coleman will surely be the presence of the key quartet of Gareth Bale, skipper Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen and Craig Bellamy.
Coleman is still searching for his first win - and first goal - as Wales boss since taking over in January and will be hoping for a strong start to build momentum in a daunting Group A.
