Blackburn are set to complete the permanent signing of goalkeeper Jason Steele from Middlesbrough.
The 24-year-old initially joined Rovers on a season-long loan at the end of August and has since made 15 appearances for the club.
Steele started out as a trainee with Middlesbrough in 2007 and made 170 appearances for them before departing for Blackburn.
He has now agreed terms on a three-and-a-half-year contract at Ewood Park.
Blackburn begin a Football League-imposed transfer embargo on Thursday, but have acted quickly to turn Steele's loan move into a permanent acquisition before the sanctions come into force.
