Vitesse Arnhem have completed the signing of Luca Caldirola on loan from Inter Milan.
The Dutch side were a surprise destination for the Italy Under-19 defender but the 19-year-old was persuaded to spend a short-term stint with Vitesse by his agent, Marco de Marchi.
The former defender played for Vitesse between 1997 and 2000, helping them to a best-ever Eredivisie finish of third in the 1997/98 season.
And now Caldirola is hoping to enjoy a successful stay at the GelreDome as he continues his dream of playing for the Inter first team and also in England.
"I am very happy to get the chance to play for Vitesse," he told the club's
official website.
Arnhem honour
"I have just got a stadium tour and it was amazing. It's an honour to play here.
"I hope to develop myself further in Arnhem and make my dream come true.
"I have been playing for Inter since I was eight, the Premier League is also a competition I want to play in but first I want to play for Vitesse."
