Sweden international seals CSKA Moscow switch
CSKA Moscow have completed the signing of Rasmus Elm from AZ Alkmaar on a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old Sweden international joins the Russian club for an undisclosed fee after spending three years in Holland.
Elm believes the switch makes sense for sporting reasons but also admits it is at least partially motivated by the riches on offer in the Russian Premier League.
"It's a combination of a sport challenge and a good financial solution," Elm told Sportbladet.
"CSKA Moscow usually play in the Champions League and is a big club. Then, it is also a step upwards financially."
Elm made 83 Eredivisie appearances for AZ after signing from home-town club Kalmar in 2009.
