McIlroy happy with deals for McCready and Fleming
Morecambe have snapped up Chris McCready from Northampton Town and completed the signing of Andy Fleming.
McCready joins Morecambe on a two-year contract after he was placed on the transfer list by Northampton earlier in the summer.
The defender is joined at the Shrimps by Fleming, who
skysports.com revealed was close to linking up with Sammy McIlroy's side from Wrexham.
Fleming has also agreed a two-year deal, but will cost a fee which will be decided by a tribunal if the two clubs are unable to settle on a figure.
McIlroy is happy to have added the two players to his squad and is optimistic the pair can make an impact in League Two this season.
"I am delighted to have brought two players of such quality to the club," McIlroy told the club's
official website.
"Andy is a very promising player who I am sure has a great career ahead of him while Chris has a lot of experience at this level which will be important to us."
