Amauri speculation dismissed

Amauri's agent has insisted the Juventus striker will not be on the move when the transfer window reopens.

Striker expected to stay at Juve in January

Amauri's agent has insisted the Juventus striker will not be on the move when the transfer window reopens. The Brazilian-born frontman has been linked with a January departure after reports suggested Juve were lining up a swoop for Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino. Juve have already stressed that there has been no contact with Fiorentina, while Amauri's representative Gianpiero Pocetta maintains his client is going nowhere. Amauri has been sidelined due to injury in recent weeks but is expected to resume training before the turn of the year. "There is no news regarding a departure of Amauri from Juventus. The player is not on the market," Pocetta told calciomercato.com. "An exchange with Gilardino? With Fiorentina there has never been anything. "Juventus are free to make the choices they want and I don't know if they'll target other strikers in January, but Amauri is working hard to return. "It is nice that the player is linked with big clubs in Europe but I think on 28th December he will resume training and be available for Juventus."

Aquilani happy

Another player happy at Juventus is Alberto Aquilani, who joined on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool over the summer. He has managed to stay fit after an injury-plagued stint at Anfield and has been pleased to rediscover something approaching his best form, in what he feels is a formation that suits him. "After four months at Juventus my impressions are very positive," Aquilani told Corriere dello Sport. "I wanted to return to Italy after the experience in England and Juventus gave me the chance. "I'm fine, the injuries are behind me and I am playing again in a system with two central midfielders. "At Liverpool it was very different as I was often used as a playmaker, behind the strikers."
