Agnelli satisfied after veteran offers to sign blank contract
Juventus have expressed their delight after Alessandro Del Piero declared his intent to stay at the club.
The 36-year-old's current deal expires at the end of the season and speculation has been mounting over his future.
However, Del Piero announced in a video on his
official website last week that he was set to sign a 'blank' contract, flatly denying that he was holding out for more money.
Juve president Andrea Agnelli has welcomed this sign of commitment and is now looking forward to resuming talks with the player over an extension.
"Del Piero has shown the will to remain at Juve with that video," said Agnelli.
"We are satisfied about this and there will be time to define his engagement with us for next year."
