Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has claimed that he is aiming to become the "best player in the world" with the Serie A champions.
The 21-year old was speaking after putting pen to paper on a new five-year deal with the Old Lady, which will see him remain in Turin until the summer of 2019, where Pogba insists he can fulfil his vast potential.
"I can't predict the future, but I'll do everything to win many more trophies," Pogba told Fifa.com.
"I'll continue working hard. My goal is to be the best player in the world."
The former Manchester United midfielder has gone from strength to strength since departing Old Trafford, and has been an integral part of the Juventus side which has secured back-to-back Scudetto triumphs.
At the World Cup this summer, Pogba inspired France to the quarter-finals, earning him the best young player of the tournament award, but after being compared to former winners of the same award Thomas Muller, Pele and Franz Beckenbauer, Pogba revealed he is not overawed.
"It's not that I don't feel like I belong in the same category - it's just that I want to be even better than them," Pogba added.
"That's one of my goals and winning this prize allows me to take another step.
"I always want more. It's never enough; you have to keep going. I'm a winner and I don't like to lose.
"I always set myself new objectives and new challenges. That's what makes me progress and I need to keep that mentality. That's just the way I am."
