Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has rubbished suggestions that he is seeking a move away from the Serie A club.
The Argentine has been linked with a move to Liverpool, with Italian reports claiming that the Reds are preparing an offer for the former Real Madrid forward.
Higuain has yet to score this season and, with Napoli winning just one of the first four games, speculation arose over his commitment to Rafa Benitez's side.
However, Higuain insists that he is happy at Napoli and understands why their fans are concerned at the club’s recent form.
“I’m happy to play in Naples – it’s a fantastic city to play football,” he told the Italian media.
“As in any place, when you win, everyone is happy. When you don’t, people overreact. In this period, there are critics but it’s normal.
“I chose to come here, Naples is a wonderful city.”
