Defender leaves Genoa for Rubin Kazan
Versatile defender Salvatore Bocchetti has joined Rubin Kazan on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Genoa.
The Russian side have been busy bringing in reinforcements this summer as they prepare to face Barcelona, Panathinaikos and FC Copenhagen in Group D of the UEFA Champions League.
They have now reportedly spent €10million (£8.3m) to land Bocchetti, who made 60 appearances for Genoa during a two-year spell.
An accomplished performer who can play at left-back or centre-half, Bocchetti has also been capped five times by Italy.
He was part of the Azzurri squad that went to the World Cup in South Africa and will now be looking to take his game to the next level with Rubin.
