Skepta tells Max and Helen about his new single
Hold on - Skepta's only gone and got a hat-trick ball!
The rapper racked up his third appearance on
Soccer AM on the very same day the show was broadcast live in HD for the first time.
And likewise things are looking great for Skepta in 2012.
His new single, 'Hold On', comes out on January 1 and the video features Great Britain sprint hero Darren Campbell who helped to coach Skepta in some of the running scenes.
"It's an inspirational song," he explained. "When I wrote it I wanted to give people something to listen to when they are feeling down.
"I thought of the Olympic theme and the director, who is an ex-athlete himself, had the link to Darren. I was chuffed to have him there.
"The shoot started at 12 in the afternoon and lasted until three in the morning. I was running about, jogging, and people were telling me on set to 'chill out - you don't have to really sprint'.
"I was like 'no, I'm alright'. The next morning when I woke up I really did wish that I listened to everyone because I was a total mess.
"People say my Tekkers wasn't too good but obviously I'm not an athlete. Campbell was showing me what to do and some people said I did alright."

Skepta - whose third album 'Doin' It Again' peaked at No2 in the UK R&B charts, with singles 'Rescue Me' and 'Cross My Heart' both making it into the top 10 - sat alongside Boy Better Know on his previous Soccer AM appearance.
Still in the Christmas mood, he presented Max and Helen with a t-shirt signed by the band and revealed that he was chuffed to receive a microwave for Christmas as he's just moved into a new pad.
One of his New Year's resolutions is to develop his football knowledge and as a first step he's decided where his allegiances lie.
"I'm from Tottenham so I feel it's only right to support Spurs - regardless of how good they are," he reflected.
Skepta demonstrated his football prowess by scoring on the Road to Rome and revealed that he has some top-name players amongst his fan base.
"I did a tour in October and Mario Balotelli and Wes Brown came out to one of my shows," he said.
"I always feel like the people who do music have got that thing where they think 'if I didn't do music, I'd probably do football' so maybe the footballers do it the other way."
