The Croatian Football Federation have rubber-stamped the appointment of Igor Stimac and Davor Suker at the top of their organisation.

The Croatian Football Federation have rubber-stamped the appointment of Igor Stimac and Davor Suker at the top of their organisation.
Stimac succeeds Slaven Bilic, who had announced his intention to leave his role as national coach prior to Euro 2012, while Suker replaces long-term president Vlatko Markovic.
Both were part of the Croatia side that finished third at the 1998 World Cup, where Suker won the Golden Boot with six goals. 44-year-old Stimac has previously coached Hadjuk Split and NK Zagreb
Stimac's playing career included spells with Derby County and West Ham, where he was a team-mate of Suker's, who also played for Real Madrid and Arsenal.
The pair were announced as
almost certain to take their respective roles before the start of Euro 2012, where Croatia were knocked out at the group stage, and now a unanimous vote has seen that confirmed.
Croatia face neighbours Macedonia in the opening game of their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign in September, as part of a group that also includes Serbia, Belgium, Scotland and Wales.
