Nani is confident he will be fit and in contention for a starting berth by the time Portugal take in their Euro 2012 opener against Germany.
Portugal will get their European Championship campaign up and running against the much-fancied Germans on 9th June.
That does not give Nani much time to shake off a knock, but he believes he will be ready.
The Manchester United winger aggravated an old ankle injury during Portugal's 3-1 friendly defeat by Turkey on Saturday.
Dangerous
Scans have revealed that the problem is not as bad as first feared and, for that reason, Nani is optimistic regarding his chances of playing a full part at Euro 2012.
"Yes, it was a scare. It was a very dangerous challenge, I was in a lot of pain, I still am a bit, but I think I will recover well in the next few days," he said.
"We will see when I return to Portugal's camp. It may have caused a small strain. I believe I can play against Germany."
Portugal take on Denmark in their second Group B clash before travelling to Kharviv to face Holland in their final group game.
