The Rock will face John Cena for the second straight WrestleMania after beating CM Punk in New Orleans.
The Rock beats Punk to secure WrestleMania rematch with Cena
It's on.
The Rock and John Cena engaged in an epic duel at last year's WrestleMania and after the Great One retained the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber, they will do it all again at 2013's big show.
Cena - pinned by the Rock last April at Sun Life Stadium - had already booked his spot in the WWE Title bout at WrestleMania XXVIIII after outlasting 29 other grapplers to win January's Royal Rumble match.
And the Brahma Bull was confirmed as Cena's opponent after he dealt with CM Punk's technical artistry and unscrupulous tactics to maintain his grip on the title that he had poached from the Second City Saint at the Royal Rumble.
The Rock entered Sunday's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view knowing that if he was counted out or disqualified against Punk he would lose his belt.
And despite being riled by the erstwhile champion slapping him and spitting in his face, the Great One kept his cool, securing victory by hitting Punk's comrade, Paul Heyman, with the WWE Title and dishing out a Rock Bottom to his in-ring foe.
Thrilling
Cena, however, endured a frustrating evening in New Orleans, as he and tag-team partners Sheamus and Ryback were defeated by The Shield in a thrilling six-man exchange.
The WrestleMania main-eventer's squad looked in charge of the contest, but were beaten when Roman Reigns hit Ryback with a devastating spear, allowing Seth Rollins to cover the fallen powerhouse.
Elsewhere, Alberto Del Rio retained the World Heavyweight Championship by forcing Big Show - the man he had previously bested in two Last Man Standing Matches - to tap out to the Cross Armbreaker.
And Jack Swagger earned a shot at the Mexican Aristocrat's strap at 'Mania after conquering Daniel Bryan, Kane, Mark Henry, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton inside the Elimination Chamber.
United States titlist Antonio Cesaro kept hold of his gold by disqualification following an accidental low blow from opponent The Miz, while Kaitlyn knocked off Tamina Snuka to retain her Divas Championship.
Plus, Mr Money in the Bank, Dolph Ziggler, vanquished Kofi Kingston - before watching his ally Big E Langston hand the sprightly Ghanaian a bone-shattering post-match beat-down.
