King's Lynn too good for Aces
Belle Vue's miserable start to the new season continued on Wednesday as they went down to a 50-42 home defeat to King's Lynn.
The Manchester giants were looking for their first win of 2012, but it was not to be as their Norfolk visitors out-gunned the home side.
Indeed things could have been much worse for Belle Vue as King's Lynn lost new signing Mateusz Szczepaniak and Daniel Nermark to injury early in the meeting which meant two races had just three riders in.
However, King's Lynn were excellent and were never behind - indeed they conceded just three heat advantages all evening.
Stars number one Niels Kristian Iversen was outstanding for the Stars, claiming a perfect 15-point maximum.
But the top-scorer on the night was German reserve Kevin Wolbert, who used all his seven rides to claim paid 17.
On a miserable evening for Belle Vue, they had just one rider hit double figures in the shape of reserve Josh Grajczonek.
